Our Story
Absolute Home Services was founded by Liz Jonasson, a long time resident of Burlington, Ontario, in September, 2012.
Liz’ path to becoming the business owner of Absolute Home Services began when she was 16 years old working summers for College Pro Painters close to her family cottage in Muskoka, Northern Ontario. While In University, she launched her own College Pro franchise and specialized in interior and exterior house painting.
Though she graduated university with a degree in Civil Engineering, Liz continued to focus on her College Pro franchise, as it became a true passion. She went full time at College Pro for Northern Ontario where she recruited, trained, and led 25 other students in operating the painting business. She eventually rose to the position of Vice President of Ontario. After 17 years with College Pro she decided to make a change and joined Paul Davis Systems as the Operations Manager.
While at Paul Davis, a restoration company that handles damage to homes and businesses from fire, wind, and water, Liz managed a crew of 25 emergency technicians who responded to these devastating situations.

Through her experience at College Pro and Paul Davis, Liz concluded what she saw as a market opportunity: a complete home services solution: with offerings ranging from home improvement, repair, and maintenance, and with true customer service at its core.
In 2012 Liz launched Absolute Home Services which started out as painting company in Burlington. But she had a vision for what it could be. Building upon the success of the painting business, Liz launched the Lawn and Garden Maintenance service the following year, in 2013. And, after receiving multiple requests from Clients, Absolute Home Services incorporated Handyman Services as part of its overall offering. Liz and her growing team took a slow and methodical approach to developing each of these services and continued their focus on exceptional client service.
Today, Absolute Home Services is the leader in home improvement, repair, handyman, and maintenance services in Southern and Northern Ontario. With services including painting, landscaping, maintenance, and repair. Only Absolute Home Services offers dedicated Project Managers who ensure their clients’ needs are met, every time, as promised.

We have roughly 450ft of cedar hedge that requires trimming annually. Our previous contractor retired from the business so we looked for quotes from other providers. Absolute Home services was not the least nor the most expensive but they were very detailed and assessment of the scope. The crew was prompt and experienced. They were patient and attentive to our requirements while the work was carried out. They were efficient and cleaned up completely. The company conducted themselves in a courteous and professional manner. We will be using them again next season.

Absolute painted the entire interior of our home. Walls, doors, ceilings, baseboards, and trim. They did an excellent job. They had painted the exterior of our home a few years ago so we used them again. Professional, prompt, friendly and our price was very reasonable. They are a great company. Highly recommended.

Amazing company. We contacted AHS with the intention of having the exterior of out house painted. A company representative, Gerald, came to our house and we discussed, in depth, the work that we wanted completed. Gerald looked professional and was wearing a company embossed shirt, was knowledgeable, on time and an overall very nice man. I wouldn’t hesitate to contact AHS in the future for any other projects that we need completing.
